Oil Company Gulf Georgia visited the Day Care Center of “First Step Georgia”

For over the years the company has been supporting the “First Step” and its beneficiaries, who are the disabled children under the age of 18 within the scope of social responsibility.

At this time the company “Gulf” expressed its support towards the day care center through purchase of such necessary devices, as TV and DVD, highly required by teachers for special developing video lessons. Besides, the company will deliver various types of drawing and modeling materials, required by the children, to the “Art Circle”.

 

Within the Art Circle the beneficiaries of the organization learn use of brushes and various materials, painting, sculpture, make corporate greeting cards and other works for exhibition and sale, etc. Such Art Circle develops mutual cooperation and joint work culture, as well as creative skills and imagination to children.

 

“First Step Georgia” is a non-profit, charity organization, founded in 1998 by Jane Corboy and Nino Kadagidze-Zhvania. The organization serves disabled children up to 18 years, providing a variety of services to them and caring for improvement of quality of their life and social integration. During 16 years of its existence, as the result of efforts of the organization, hundreds of disabled children left the children’s home, returned to their families, completed rehabilitation service and were able to get engaged in educational system and social integration.

 

“Now we are successful in implementation of a variety of psycho-social, educational and family support programs for more than 350 children with severe and profound disabilities. We have a day care center in Tbilisi oriented on 50 children, carry out home care and early intervention program”, - says the organization representative.
